I checked Wikipedia and found that it is Harpsichord Suite No. 1, so the original is the harpsichord version.
The harpsichord version is closer to the image of the blacksmith than the piano performance.

森の情景は、Clara Haskilのモノラル録音盤とValery Afanassievのスローテンポの2枚を持っていました。
ハイレゾで１枚入手したかったので、prestomusicから
"Schumann: Kinderszenen & Waldszenen & Janáček: On the overgrown path I, Marc-André Hamelin (piano)"を購入しました。
テンポに違和感がないです。ダイナミックな演奏です。
Verrufene Stelleは、Valery Afanassievの演奏と比べて、聴きやすいです。
想像の森を連想するアルバムアートも気に入りました。

I had two albums of Waldszenen, a mono recording by Clara Haskil and a slow-tempo recording by Valery Afanassiev.
I wanted to get one in high-resolution, so I got it from prestomusic.
"Schumann: Kinderszenen & Waldszenen & Janáček: On the overgrown path I, Marc-André Hamelin (piano)".
The tempo is comfortable. It is a dynamic performance.
"Verrufene Stelle" is easier to listen to than Valery Afanassiev's performance.
I also liked the album art, which reminds me of an imaginary forest.

同様のテーマのアルバム"Mari Kodama / New Paths"が発売されたので、20%offクーポンを利用してHDtracksから192kHz/24bit版を購入しました。
ブラームスは、交響曲や協奏曲が有名ですが、小品も好きです。
なお、ピアノはYamaha CFX concert grand pianoです。
日本からHDtracksから購入可能な音源は、少ないです。
また、日本のダウンロードサイトは、高価で購入をためらいます。

Watchhouseを聴いたら、聞きたくなりました。
英語のWikipediaによると、第46回グラミー賞で、『Live』はグラミー賞の最優秀ブルーグラス・アルバム賞を受賞し、伝統曲「Cluck Old Hen」はグラミー賞の最優秀カントリー・インストゥルメンタル・パフォーマンス賞を受賞している とのこと。
