New York Timesの記事のアーティストをYoutubeから聴いているときに、偶然 "Watchhouse"を見つけました。
良さそうなのでHDTracksから"Tides Of A Teardrop"を購入しました。
まったりしたフォーク／カントリーで、Amazon（米国）で評判が良いです。
flac(96kHz/24bit)の音源なのでYoutubeより音質が良く素敵な演奏に聞こえます
日本からでも"Mandolin Orange"の頃のアルバムを含めて、何枚か購入できます。

It sounded good, so I bought "Tides Of A Teardrop" from HDTracks.
It's a mellow folk/country song with good reviews on Amazon (US).
It's in flac (96kHz/24bit), so the sound quality is better than youtube, and it sounds great!
You can buy some of their albums from Japan, including the one from the "Mandolin Orange" era.

OS、プレイヤーの設定で音が結構変わります。
当方では、リサンプルは音色が変わる（太る）のがわかるのでNG。
UbuntuStudio + Audacious + Jackが良いが、切り替えが面倒なので高音質で聴きたいときのみです。
Windows 11
foobar2000：ダウンロードしたハイレゾ音源と今聴きたい曲
Windows側でリサンプリングしないようにexclusive出力としています
DSPによりリサンプルすると音色が変わるように感じたので、DSP効果は未使用です
AIMP：ライブラリから検索して聴きます
CD音源再生時は、Windows側のサウンド設定を44.1kHz/16bitに設定すると音が良い
検索バーに入力すると終了するので、メモ帳からコピペして検索しています
Audacity：波形と周波数スペクトルのチェック
音量がやたら大きいと思ったら、完全な海苔波形のCDがありました。
1曲で数個のフォルティシモがクリップするくらいの音量がちょうど良いように思います。24bit音源ではあまり影響ないと思われますが、CDでは小さすぎるとダイナミックレンジを活かせていないように思います。
dBpoweramp：CDのリッピングとファイル変換に使用
wavファイルにタグを書き込めるので購入の価値あり
英国の開発元から直接購入した方が安価

qjackctlによりjackを起動
audaciousからjack出力で音楽を再生
この方法で再生すると、Windowsよりも良い音（クリアさ、奥行感、冷静傾向の音）
Windowsと同様にリサンプルはNG
サンプリング周波数が変わるとをjackを再起動する必要があり面倒
The sound changes quite a bit depending on the OS and player settings.
In my opinion, resample is not a good choice as I find it changes (fattens) the tone.
UbuntuStudio + Audacious + Jack is good, but switching is a hassle, so it is only for when you want to listen to high quality sound.

Windows does not resample the sound, so it is set as exclusive output.
DSP effect is not used because I felt that resampling by DSP would change the timbre of the sound.

When playing CD sound source, Windows sound setting should be set to 44.1kHz/16bit.
When I type in the search bar, it ends, so I search by copying and pasting from Notepad.
Audacity: Check the waveform and frequency spectrum
I found a CD with a perfect seaweed waveform when I thought the volume was too loud.
A few fortissimos clipping in one song seems to be just the right volume. 24-bit sources are not likely to be affected much, but if the CD is too small, it does not seem to take advantage of the dynamic range.
dBpoweramp: used for CD ripping and file conversion
Worth the purchase because it can write tags to wav files.
Cheaper to buy directly from the UK developer
Linux.

今パソコンで使っている安いアンプは、ヘッドホン端子を差し込むと音が出なくなるいう噂があり、スピーカーのみで使用してきました。
スピーカーの再生は、Linuxから再生することもありますが、普段はfoobar2000です。
4倍サンプリングとか設定しているので、出力設定を変えないとbluetoothヘッドホンではエラーが出るので、別のソフト「TuneBrowser」をインストールしました。
bluetoothの受信機兼アナログ変換器が小型で非力ですが、TV程度の音が楽しめます。

古いアルバムしかもっていないので、若い方はご存知ないかもしれません。
Nautilus 804で鳴らすとStairway to HeavenやYesの曲は良いですが、Highway StarやMiss Youは音像が遠く、力強さがないのであまりよくありません。
ヘッドホンで聴いた方が力強かった。
ウーファーが小さいし、英国製ですから、JBLのような音はしません。
力強さよりも美音系です。
古いアルバムしかもっていないので、若い方はご存知ないかもしれません。

PCに入っているPOPsなどのwavデータからdBpowerampによりDSD変換して、DVDのデータディスクを作成しました。
DSD64のデータで100分くらい入ります。
適当に作ったので、ジャンルがくちゃくちゃです。
ロックだと言われるものもありますが、ご容赦ください。
最近はCDを買わないので、10年前くらいのものまでです。
曲によって、音質や音量に差があります。
セリーヌ・ディオンのMy Heart Will Go Onが良かった。
ジョンデンバーはSACDを持っているので省きましたが、LPレコードと比べてCDの音質が良くないです。
スティーヴィー・ワンダーのIsn't she lovelyやジョン・レノンのImagineも昔聴いたLPレコードと比べて音が悪いです。
レコードとCDの差以前のオリジナルデータの品質やマスタリングの問題だと思います。
クラシックやジャズの方が音質が良いCDが多い気がします（オーディオ好きの人は昔からこのジャンルを聴く人が多かった）。
