日本でのユーザーは少なそうですが、ElmerFEMに興味を持っている人はいます。

ElmerFEMのVirtualMachinesが10/11付けでアップデートされていました
新しいイメージもUbuntu20.04ベースのようです
現在の環境で
git fetch && git pull
./buildelmer.sh
を実行してみました
ElmerSoverとElmerGUIがかなりアップデートされました

構造解析などでオープンCAEの経験があれば、半年程度で使えるようになると思います。
SalomeやParaviewの経験がそのまま使えます。

Windows版の導入が最も楽ですが、本格的に使用するならフル機能かつgitバージョンの自動コンパイルスクリプト付きのVirtualMachinesが良いと思います。

ElmerFEM has been updated!

ElmerFEM's VirtualMachines was updated as of 10/11!
The new image also appears to be Ubuntu 20.04 based
I ran the following script in the current environment

If you have experience with open CAE for structural analysis, etc., you should be able to use it in about 6 months.
You can use your experience with Salome and Paraview as it is.

The Windows version is the easiest to install, but if you want to use it seriously, I think VirtualMachines with full functionality and git version with auto-compile scripts is good.
